Overview: Serving Charlotte area professionals since 1991, Wingate University's
nationally accredited MBA program is one of the most established and
affordable MBA programs in the region. Our program is designed to meet the
career-advancement needs of emerging business leaders.
Conveniently located in
downtown Matthews, classes are small and student-focused, with an
emphasis on active learning and in-class collaboration. Classes are taught by Wingate University's distinguished
School of Business faculty.
Curriculum: The MBA program
consists of 33 credit hours (11 courses)
with a general management focus and the ability to finish the program in two years by attending
classes just two evenings per week (with the flexibility to take
more or less as needed). Each course meets once per week with classes scheduled Monday
through Thursday evenings during
Fall and Spring semesters and two summer sessions. Please see
our
MBA course catalog for
more details.
Prerequisite Course for Non Business Majors: One of the most
popular aspects of the program is Wingate's unique one-semester
prerequisite course (Business 500) offered each fall (more often in some
cases) for professionals with non-business backgrounds. This fast track
prep course satisfies all of the prerequisites for the MBA degree, and
facilitates rapid entry into the program.

details.
Opportunities may also exist
for some non-business majors to enter the MBA Program during the spring
and summer semesters prior to enrolling in Business 500 in the fall by
taking some of the MBA courses that are not "prerequisite-based."
